Moline Whitson

Moline is passionate about body/mind practices, including yoga, Qigong and TRE® bringing sensitivity and joy to her teaching. She began teaching Yoga in 2001 after receiving her Amrit Yoga certification from Yogi Amrit Desai, founder of Kripalu and Amrit Yoga. She’s also studied with teachers of the Iyengar tradition. “Yoga is a personal journey toward well-being, wholeness and peace. My intention is to offer quality classes taught in an atmosphere of comapassion, self-awareness and light-heartedness.” Additionally Moline has trained in the Martial Arts since 1984 and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Mo Duk Pai Kung Fu. and currently enjoys practicing Qigong as well as yoga. Most recently she became a Certified TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) Provider and is offering classes as well as individual sessions at Harmony Yoga. “TRE® is a wonderful adjunct to a Yoga practice. It helps unwind deep tension patterns in the body, reduce the build up of stress and teaches us to trust the innate healing capacity we possess.”

Greg Smoots

Greg Smoots began yoga studies in 1984 and teaching in 1988. To s strong Iyengar foundation he adds elements from other teachers and traditions. in 1994 he began practice and study of Insight Meditation, including extensive retreat experience. He seeks to challenge students while respecting their limits.

Laurene Mullen

Laurene Mullen loves yoga and brings her enthusiasm for this ancent art to every class. She appreciates the subtle beauty of a centered yoga practice which can transform your body and spirit. She recieved her Masters Degree in Dance from UCLA and performed with DoJump for 8 years. She trains in and studies Iyengar and Anusara yoga and has been teaching at Harmony since 2007.

Kathleen Porter

Kathleen Porter taught yoga for 15 years before developing a passion for natural skeletal alignment. Since then, she’s been offering workshops, classes and private instruction in how to live daily life, play sports, practice yoga — in naturally aligned ways. She is the author of Ageless Spine, Lasting Health and currently teaches an annual week-long course at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. She has been practicing meditation since 1989. She emphasizes focus on the support of naturally aligned bones, in addition to the sensations of the breath and traditional practices of mindfulness. Cultivating somatic awareness in this way serves as an anchor to the present moment, as well as a gateway to a more relaxed, awakened state.

Nancy Boros

Nancy Boros holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education: Community Health. She has served the community as a health educator for 20 years, having worked with high risk maternity patients, parents and children in teaching lead poisoning prevention, and managed the delivery of online clinical and health education for a large health system.

Upon completion of the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, she began her path to train and certify as an MBSR teacher. Having completed the MBSR Teacher Development Intensive and MBSR Mind-Body Medicine teacher training Center for Mindfulness (CFM) with University of Massachusetts Medical School, she is a CFM Qualified MBSR Teacher offering the full 8 week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course, a secular and evidence-based stress reduction program. Nancy also offers ongoing support for graduates of the eight week MBSR course and those who are interested or curious about learning mindfulness practices.

Heather Leap

Heather is a Next Generation Yoga Teacher and Certified Infant Massage instructor. She teaches Baby Yoga & Massage, Family Yoga and Kids’ Yoga for children ages 2-13. She has practiced yoga for most of the past 20 years and is about to embark on a 200-hr yoga teacher training with SarahJoy Marsh. Heather is passionate about kids, families, nutrition and health and lives with her husband and 3 daughters in northeast Portland where she also works as a freelance writer.

Lael Petersen

Lael is a mind-body therapist, Reiki practitioner and yoga teacher (200RYT). She is a student of Sarahjoy Marsh. Her yoga classes combine gentle movement, mindfulness and practical yoga philosophy.
